Serving patients in Wakefield, MA and Wilmington, MA
Our Wakefield and Wilmington Audiologists Stay With You Through Diagnosis, Treatment, and Beyond
At Atlantic Audiology, we know how important your hearing is to you. That is why our hearing testing and hearing aid fitting services are performed by licensed, certified audiologists, and we continually invest in new technologies to improve our patients’ hearing and well-being. Our doctors of audiology take pride in helping each and every patient get the hearing treatment that he or she needs.
Our hearing care and restoration services include:
- Hearing Testing and Screening. Our trained audiologists’ hearing testing methods go beyond the typical hearing screening. As professionals, we take great pride in providing thorough hearing assessments, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient testing. We also provide counseling about hearing and hearing loss, offer assistance during hearing rehabilitation, offer guidance on improving communication skills, and provide extensive follow-up care.
- Hearing Aid Devices. We offer many makes and models of hearing aids in our offices, including behind-the-ear aids, in-the-ear models, in-the-canal devices, or completely-in-the-canal styles. We carry Widex®, Oticon®, Phonak®, Sound Cure®, and Starkey® devices, as well as a variety of accessories for every style. We also provide patients with custom-made hearing protection, including musician plugs and swim plugs, in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors to fit individual ear canals.
- Hearing Aid Repair and Maintenance. Hearing aids are amazing pieces of technology, but these devices can sometimes break down or provide poor sound quality. Our technicians can examine your hearing aid to determine the problem, and can repair or reprogram many high-end hearing aid models. We also perform regular inspection and cleaning services, such as wax removal and moisture control, to keep your device functioning at its best.
- Tinnitus Evaluation and Relief. Millions of Americans suffer from tinnitus, or head noise. This is commonly heard as a ringing, whistling, buzzing, or high-pitched noise that only the patient can hear. Tinnitus may be temporary after loud noise exposure or a head injury, but can be a permanent effect of some types of hearing loss. As tinnitus can be extremely distracting and frustrating for a patient, we work to diagnose the cause of your tinnitus and find the solution that works best for you.
